קורס זה יכול לשמש סטודנטים באוניברסיטה, אנשי מקצוע ואחרים הרוצים לדבר אנגלית טובה.

This course can be used by university students, professionals, and others who want to speak English well.

שיעורים אלו יסייעו לכם ללמוד לדבר אנגלית תוך זמן קצר. אם תתאמנו שעה או שעתיים כל יום בעזרת השיעורים המוקלטים, תוכלו לדבר אנגלית פשוטה תוך שישה חודשים. אבל, לימוד אנגלית ידרוש מאמץ רב כל יום.

These lessons will help you learn to speak English in a short period of time. If you practice one or two hours each day with the lessons on the audio recordings, you should be able to speak simple English within six months. However, learning English will require hard work each day.

קורס זה יכול לשמש הן תלמידי אנגלית מתחילים והן תלמידים מתקדמים. השיעורים אינם קשים מדי עבור תלמיד מתחיל ואינם קלים מדי עבור תלמיד מתקדם. הם יכולים גם לשמש תלמידים המעוניינים ללמוד ללא סיוע מורה. עם זאת, בכדי ללמוד הגייה נכונה, רצוי להתאמן כשעתיים בשבוע עם מורה לאנגלית.

This course can be used by both beginning and advanced English students. The lessons are neither too difficult for a beginning student nor too easy for an advanced student. They can also be used by students who want to study without an instructor. However, you will learn better pronunciation if you practice for two hours each week with an English teacher.

ישנן שלוש הנחיות פשוטות בקורס זה:

There are three simple rules to follow in this English course:

1- בכדי ללמוד לדבר אנגלית נכונה, יש לדבר בקול.

חשוב לדבר בקול רם וברור כאשר מתאמנים עם השיעורים המוקלטים.

1. To learn to speak English correctly, you must speak it aloud.

It is important that you speak loudly and clearly when you are practicing with the recorded lessons.

2- בכדי ללמוד לדבר אנגלית שוטפת, יש לחשוב באנגלית.

אינכם "חושבים" באנגלית אם הינכם קוראים את התשובות שלכם. לאחר שהבנתם כל שיעור, חשוב מאוד לענות על התרגילים מבלי להתייעץ בחומר הלימוד. הצורך לגרום למוח לעבוד על מנת להגיע לתשובה הוא חלק חשוב מלימוד שפה.

2. To learn to speak English fluently, you must think in English.

You are not "thinking" in English if you are reading your answers. Once you understand each exercise, it is very important that you respond without looking at the printed lesson. Making your mind work in order to think of the answer is an important part of learning a language.

3- ככל שתרבו לדבר אנגלית נכונה בקול, ייקל עליכם ללמוד לדבר אנגלית שוטפת.

כל שיעור יהיה קשה בהתחלה. אבל, בעזרת אימון, תלמדו לדבר נכון. עליכם להתאמן עד שתוכלו לענות על התרגילים באופן שוטף מבלי להתייעץ בחומר הלימוד. אנחנו אומרים לתלמידים שלנו, "אתם תלמדו לדבר בצורה הטובה ביותר כשהאזניים שלכם יישמעו את הפה שלכם מדבר אנגלית נכונה."

3. The more you speak correct English aloud, the more quickly you will learn to speak fluently.

Every lesson will be difficult when you start. However, as you practice, you will learn to speak correctly. You must practice until you can repeat the exercises fluently without looking at the printed lesson. We often tell our students, "You will learn best when your ears hear your mouth speaking correct English."

כיצד להתחיל    (How to Get Started)  

1- על מנת להשתמש בשיעורים אלו, תזדקקו ל-  Acrobat Reader  ול-  Windows Media Player  על מחשבכם האישי. את שניהם ניתן להוריד בחינם מעמוד הבית על ידי הקלקה על  Download PDF Reader  או על  Download Media Player. נסו לפתוח שיעור  Download  ולהשמיע את הקול הבא    לפני שאתם מורידים את  PDF Reader  או את  Media Player  אם השיעור  Download    לא נפתח, תזדקקו ל- PDF Reader. אם לא שמעתם את הקול, תזדקקו ל-  Media Player.

1. To use these lessons, you will need both Acrobat Reader and Windows Media Player on your computer. Both can be downloaded free from the Home page by clicking on Download PDF Reader or Download Media Player. (Try opening a Download lesson and playing the sound before you download either the PDF Reader or Media Player. If the Download lesson will not open, you need the PDF Reader. If there is no sound, you need the Media Player.)

2- הקליקו על קישור ה-Help  בכדי לקבל הסבר על הצלמיות בהן נעשה שימוש בשיעורים.

2. Click on the Help link for an explanation of the icons used in the lessons.

3- כשאתם מתחילים שיעור חדש, הקליקו על צלמית ה-  Lesson Vocabulary. הדפיסו את דפי אוצר המילים. לאחר מכן לימדו כל מילה באוצר המילים וכיתבו את פירושה בעברית. כתבו מילים חדשות וביטויים בפנקס קטן שתוכלו לשאת עימכם. שננו מילים חדשות לעיתים קרובות במהלך היום.

3. When you begin a new lesson, click on the Lesson Vocabulary icon. Print the vocabulary pages. Then study each English vocabulary word and write its meaning in your language. Write new vocabulary words and expressions in a small notebook that you can carry with you. Review vocabulary frequently during the day.

4- הקליקו על  Lesson 1. כאשר  Lesson 1  נפתח, הקליקו על צלמית ה  . הקול בהקלטה יבקש מכם להאזין לדוגמא  ("Listen to the example."). כעת תשמעו דוגמא של תלמידים העונים באנגלית במהלך שימוש באימון האנגלית שלהם. הדוגמאות בשני השיעורים הראשונים יציגו בפניכם כיצד עליכם לענות במהלך הלימוד. עליכם תמיד לענות בקול כאשר אתם מתרגלים.

4. Click on Lesson 1. When Lesson 1 opens, click on the Media icon . The voice on the audio recording will ask you to listen to the example ("Listen to the example"). Next, you will hear an example of students responding in English as they use the recording for their own English practice. The examples in the first two lessons show you how to respond as you study. Always practice the exercises by speaking out loud.

5- כאשר אתם מתחילים שיעור חדש, תוכלו לקרוא את השיעור הכתוב בזמן שאתם חוזרים על התרגילים בעזרת ההקלטה. אבל, לאחר שהבנתם את השיעור, בצעו את התרגילים מבלי להסתכל על החומר הכתוב. התאמנו על כל תרגיל עד שתוכלו לחזור על הכל בדיוק כפי ששמעתם בהקלטה מבלי להסתכל על החומר הכתוב.

5. When you begin a new lesson, you may read the written lesson as you repeat the exercises with the audio recording. However, after you understand the lesson, do the speaking exercises without looking at the written exercises. Practice each exercise until you can say it exactly as you hear it on the recording without looking at the written lesson.

6- אם אתם יכולים, בצעו את התרגילים בעזרת ההקלטות במשך שעה עד שעתיים כל יום, חמישה ימים בשבוע. (הקליקו על  See More) ביצוע התרגילים בתכיפות זו ייתן לכם 10 שעות של לימוד אנגלית מדוברת כל שבוע. מטרתכם היא יותר מאשר רק ללמוד את אוצר המילים ולהבין את משמעות המשפטים. מטרתכם היא להיות מסוגלים לומר כל משפט בצורה כה שוטפת, עד שכל אדם דובר אנגלית יוכל להבין בקלות מה אתם אומרים.

6. If you are able to do so, practice the exercises using the audio recordings for one to two hours a day for five days each week. (Click on See More.) This will give you 10 hours of spoken English language study each week. Your purpose is much more than merely knowing the vocabulary words and understanding the meaning of the sentences. Your purpose is to be able speak each sentence so fluently that any English-speaking person can easily understand what you are saying.

7- חזרו על תרגילים משיעורים קודמים פעם בשבוע.

7. Review exercises from previous lessons once each week.

8- תוכלו להניח רשמקול ליד הרמקולים של מחשבכם האישי על מנת להקליט את השיעורים לשימושכם הפרטי. להקלטה והדפסה, השתמשו בחלק ה- AB  של כל שיעור בעמוד הבית, או בחלק ה  Download   של עמוד השיעור. (אם אין למחשבכם מספיק זיכרון על מנת לפתוח את שני המסמכים בו זמנית, השתמשו בקישור ה  Lesson Downloads  בעמוד הבית והקליטו או הדפיסו כל מסמך בנפרד.) תוכלו להקליט את  A  על צד אחד של קלטת אודיאו בת 60 דקות, ואת  B  על הצד השני. חלק  A  תמיד ארוך יותר מחלק  B, כך שתוכלו להפוך את הקלטת מיד בסיום הקלטת חלק  A. תוכלו גם ליצור דיסקי  (CDs) MP3  מקישור ה- Lesson Downloads בעמוד הבית.

8. You can place an audio tape recorder next to your computer speakers in order to make a tape cassette copy for your personal use. For recording and printing, use the AB part of each lesson from the Home page or the Download section from a lesson page. (If your computer does not have enough memory to open both documents at once, use the Lesson Downloads link on the Home page and record or print each document separately.) You can record the A half on one side of a 60-minute cassette recording tape, and the B half on the other side. The A half is always longer than the B half so that you can turn the tape over immediately after the A part is finished. You can also make MP3 compact discs (CDs) from the Lesson Downloads link on the home page.

מטרת קורס זה היא ללמד אתכם לדבר אנגלית שוטפת. קורס זה משתמש במשפטים פשוטים באנגלית, ומתאים הן עבור תלמידים מתחילים והן עבור תלמידים מתקדמים. עבור תלמיד מתחיל, הדרך הטובה ביותר ללמוד אנגלית מדוברת היא להשתמש במשפטים פשוטים בהם נעשה שימוש בשיחה יומיומית. עבור תלמיד מתקדם, הדרך הטובה ביותר ללמוד לדבר אנגלית באופן שוטף היא להשתמש באותם המשפטים עד שיוכל לומר אותם נכון ולהגות אותם היטב. על שני רמות התלמידים, הן המתחיל והן המתקדם, ללמוד לומר את אותם המשפטים באנגלית באופן שוטף. זאת הסיבה ששיעורים אלו כה שימושיים ללימוד מתמשך. בכל פעם שתחזרו על השיעורים, תשפרו את יכולת הדיבור השוטף שלכם באנגלית.

שיעורים אלו יסייעו לכם לדבר אנגלית שוטפת בכמעט חצי מהזמן הנדרש על ידי קורסים המלמדים אנגלית מדוברת בעזרת כתיבה ודקדוק. קביעה זו נכונה בין אם אתם תלמידים מתחילים ובין אם למדתם אנגלית במשך שנים רבות. עבור רוב התלמידים הבעיה הגדולה ביותר היא לימוד שימוש נכון בפעלים באנגלית. בשיעורים אלו תלמדו כיצד להשתמש נכון בפעלים באנגלית.

יותר מכל, המשיכו לחזור על השיעורים עד שתוכלו לחזור על כל משפט באופן שוטף. גם אם למדתם את אוצר המילים ואתם מבינים את התרגילים, עדיין לא סיימתם את הקורס. רק כאשר תוכלו להשתמש בכל משפט בשיחה שוטפת באנגלית, יסתיים הקורס.
